Waitaki, North Otago, New Zealand. Known as Whitestone Country because of the white limestone quarried here. There are many beautiful Victorian buildings made from it and its popularity as a building material has not waned. Also a fine medium for sculpting and the town Of Oamaru regularly hosts a stone carving symposium which draws participants from many parts of the world. . . Taken with Canon 450D. I applied a little pseudo-HDR to this image and welcome your opinions.
