Waitaki, North Otago, New Zealand. Known as Whitestone Country because of the white limestone quarried here. There are many beautiful Victorian buildings made from it and its popularity as a building material has not waned. Also a fine medium for sculpting and the town Of Oamaru regularly hosts a stone carving symposium which draws participants from many parts of the world. . . Taken with Canon 450D. I applied a little pseudo-HDR to this image and welcome your opinions.

Beautiful view Lyn. The HDR makes the colours a bit harsh - in my opinion for this lovely scene the natural colours would have been enough.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah!! Luv all the different pieces of land and how they're sectioned off by the different means!! Lovely lighting and bodacious clouds really bring out the image!!

A beautiful country scene full of vibrant colors. I can sense the clouds moving above the landscape. The rolling hills is what caught my eye. Beautifully captured Lyn.
