A 90 minute journey home from visiting family took twice as long last evening - too many photo stops! This is Shag Point, a natural reserve in Otago, on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand. It is so called after the shags - a type of sea bird - that are commonly found here. Taken with Canon 450D. Thank you for viewing. I hope you enjoy the sun shadows as I did. Comments most welcome.

Beautiful Lyn and I enjoy the shadows at least as much as you do. I really like how you cropped it with not too much sky. The patterns made by the rocks are really good. I imagine Austin Powers likes that place very much. Good post.

You're a lucky woman to have such as this view on your way home. I'm glad you stopped and shared Shag Point. I like those shadows as well as the seemingly endless sea.
