Now is the time for the burning of the leaves, They go to the fire; the nostrils prick with smoke / Wandering slowly into the weeping mist. ~Laurence Binyon . . . . . .My original photo was an orange dahlia. WOW this is so GORGEOUS Lyn. Love the colours and effect you have created here. Reminds me of a part in Harry Potter and the Return of the Phoenix.

Oh my, this one is not only mysterious and beautiful, but it also brings back some incredible memories. Before leaf-burning was banned, it was an Autumn ritual... My father, rake in hand, gathering the leaves in a huge pile and then setting them on fire... the crackling sounds, the aromatic smoke, the little sparks popping as they sailed up and away... Thanks for the memories, and... I just had to fave this.
