My first Lady of the Lake upload was in 2006, taken with my little Kodak LS420. She is HERE with a bit of her history. I blame that photo for infecting me with the 'clicking bug'. I have had many rides on, and taken many photos of the grand old girl since then and thought I would post another - taken a few weeks ago, this time with my pocket camera Canon Power Shot A580. I have left plenty of room for desktop icons :) Any comments most welcome, Thank you for looking.

Well Lyn, the lady is now 4 years older but looks great as ever. Speaks well for the crew and owners. The background panorama is fantastic with the trees, the hill and the "South Island Sky" :)

You are the best at framing LE. I wonder why we bother to buy the expensive camera and lens when the little pocket jobs do so well. If you want to be a professional I can see why.

The work on this is excellent.

With a shot like this, or what you had before cropping, I wouldn't have saved much room for desktop icons! But I don't like nice shots covered up with icons. Great post.

What I love best in this photo is the way the shadows is right on top of the hills. And the way you've placed the Evergreen at just the right spot.Very lovely. Verena

Beautiful framing for that sensational shot. What a boat ride that would be.
