This is St Andrews Anglican Memorial Church at Maheno,North Otago, New Zealand c1936 . . . . It was privately built in remembrance of the family of Joseph Cowie Nichols (of Kuriheka) who lost two sons in the First World War.It also functions as a general war memorial and it has numerous memorial brasses. . . . I gave myself an 'assignment' of photographing churches in this area on Easter Day. This is one of 20 I captured. The variety of architecture is as varied as the denominations represented. This is not the most imposing but I think it is one of the most attractive and inviting ones. Thank you for viewing. Any comments always welcome and always appreciated.

What a good shot and the peek at the background really adds to the beauty LE. It has such a welcome feel to it. Makes me want to go in and contemplate. I like the off center path leading to the door.
Good information as well. That is a great assignment. I have a Church file of photos I have taken as well.

It is so neat and tiny for a church/memorial!

You caught a great angle on it Lyn!...Plenty for the eye to look at!

Wonderfull scene of a lovely building. I liked the background, which has nothing to clutter your main object. You always take good shots. Thanks Lyn.

The color of the sky is a little bit unrealistic to me but the rest of the image is spot on and very real. I especially love the view to the left side of the church on back into infinity. KEEP-PAH!
