These 'boulders' on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, New Zealand are not nearly as large as they appear. I placed my camera in a plastic bag with the lens popping out, steadied it at ground level on one of the stones, pressed the button and hoped for the best - without being able to compose it properly. Wet feet and knees I could manage but the water was far too cold to lie down in lol . . Canon 450D . . Thanks for viewing. Any comments are always appreciated and very welcome.

Sounds like me in some of the shots I take Lyn. Sometimes they do turn out real nice, as is the case with this shot. Fine work.

It was worth the trouble, Lyn. The low angle makes the stones look like big rocks. Beautiful scene very well captured.

Very inventive Lyn. Thanks for the tip. Will use it when I make in stormy weather a photo shoot on the beach.

Thanks too for this beautiful image (and the effort done for it!)

Regards, Cornelius.

I love the perspective in this photo. And you went to a lot of preparation for this photo, and sharing what you did was really nice. We always learn here in caedes. It's a beautiful scene for sure and I love that the rocks look larger than life.Verena

Q: Why did the blonde get so excited after she finished her jigsaw puzzle in only 6 months? A: Because on the box it said From 2-4 years. Q: How do you confuse a blonde? A: Ask her to alphabetize a bag of M&Ms. Q: Why are dumb blonde jokes so short? A: So brunettes can remember them.

Your pre-composing paid of handsomely on this shot LE. It definitely has the prone feel to it. I am still wondering what a "cossy" is.
