I don't know a lot about cars but I guess this must be something special judging by the amount of interest it generated in a quiet country restaurant carpark by the sea. . . Taken with Canon 450D. Thanks for viewing :)

A really great close-up of this beast, Lyn. All I know about this model is that it was once mentioned in a Chuck Berry song!

Not quite enough to be precise, but it's mid 1950's, and would generate interest anywhere... and Red and Yellow were the two most popular colours.
Nice shot, Eve

I was going to link you to the Soprano's theme music because it is Coupe De Ville, but You Tube seems to be running quite slow or my computer is lazy.

This is a good shot of an iconic car LE. You picked the right part to photograph.

Ooooo! Nice! I would have been one of those checking this car out too. Great shot and angle for it.

Excellent! I would have liked to see all of it. I like old cars, especially those which have been well kept.

Good colour, clarity and lines in this, and also you managed to capture it without appearing in the chrome yourself!!! ha ha. One trick I havent quite managed yet no matter what angle Ive tried to take cars from!! So well done!

It is a 1959 model, and the spare tire carrier on the back was an option known as the continental kit. Those cone shaped tail lights were also used on the '59 Chevy. The 1960 Cadillac looked very similar, but the tail lights were incorporated into the vertical part of the fin. Very nice shot of a fine piece of Americana Lyn!
