To fill the stomaches of these 14 hungry 'maritime pigeons', a lot of ham sandwiches are required, Lyn, lol
Love this wonderful and clear picture.

I see they've had some military basic training, though the corporal seems rather distracted. Hope you fed him last :-).
Great shot, Eve.

Lyn - If you find a food that gulls won't eat, please let me know! lol It is interesting that birds line up in the same direction, often but for one. Your photo has excellent clarity and DOF to give each bird its due. Thad

Don't know how you do it, but even your capture of boring seagulls is outstanding.

I like this shot also, but I'm not old yet! Gulls will eat anything, fight over it, and enjoy whatever it is. Excellent shot ... nice composition, DOF, and exposure.

You're lucky you didn't get swamped. My wife, son, and I were visiting an old lighthouse on the northernmost point of Michigan's southern peninsula and we watched a woman feed one gull a tidbit. She soon realized her mistake and headed for her car about 50 yards away. By the time she reached her goal it was like a scene out of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds"... she was surrounded by a cloud of gulls, about 200 of them, all wanting her food. Perhaps yours in New Zealand aren't the flying pigs we have here in the states? A cool perspective on the gulls, Lyn. Thanks for sharing it with us.
