Part of the North Otago Coast, New Zealand.
Taken with Canon 450D from a low vantage point - the lowest I could get :) My thanks for your views and comments - always appreciated.
Lyn - Well, you could have placed the camera on the ground and captured the base of the grasses - thought it would not have been nearly as nice as this shoreline. The b/w treatment emphasizes the contrast beautifully, seen in the clouds, grasses and distant shore. I like the lit grass inflorescence in the foreground offering vertical lines as contrast to the sweep of the shoreline and clouds. Very nice! Thad
Like the ground POV of this with the plants at eye level. It's feels like you want to jump up to get a better view of the coastline. A great shot and B/W was a perfect choice for this.
I am not sure why , but the theme song from "The Twilight Zone" popped into my head when I looked at this.
I love the black and white- it really does give it a certain aura.
Usually not that keen on B&W, but here it brings out the clouds, and foreground grass, which really makes this the fine photo. Nice choice, and excellent photo.
Very fine post which creates a moody atmosphere.
