Toetoe is New Zealand's largest native grass, growing in clumps up to 3m tall, and is an iconic feature of the landscape. It is sometimes called Cutty Grass by children because of the sharp 'teeth' along the leaves. The feathery plumes flower in Spring/Summer. This was taken with my Kodak V550. Thanks for viewing, comments always welcome :)

Very nicely done, LynEve! I love how you've placed the grass plumes against the darker, blue-gray background of the coastline.

I like the desaturated look to this LE. The Kodak is very reliable.

At first, I thought it may be black and white. But, the sky told me how wrong my first impression was. I like how the light seems to edge its way from the left.

A very moody shot Lyn. The toetoes shine out against the turbulent black waves.

Nice composition and very different light effect on the sea water.

It was Cuffy Grass that first brought me to your images. This is just lovely, LynEve. So much to see beyond the plumes as well.
