Sixth of 7. Lake Benmore in the South Island of New Zealand was artificially created in the 1960s by the construction of the Benmore Dam for the hydroelectrical power scheme. The lake covers an area of approximately 75 km². Max. depth 120 m. 24/10/10. Almost the end of a long day at 6.08pm. Taken with Canon 450D. Thank you for viewing and for your comments.
