Aoraki Mt Cook is in the gap but unfortunately its peak was hidden by cloud cover on a visit there yesterday. Wild lupins flower profusely in the area during November on roadsides and along river banks. Taken with Canon 450D from a low angle. Thank you for viewing. Your comments are always appreciated and valued :)

Kia Ora friends, I have been viewing your work but apologise for not commenting as frequently as I would like - our son arrived home from England on a surprize month-long visit and we have been spending as much time as possible with him. He leaves in 6 days time.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Lyn, How nice that you have your son at home and enjoy the time with him. This image is very nice even without the peak showing, Lupines around here I won't see till next year, so I will enjoy this one for now. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Fantastic composition, Lyn. I liked this photo very much. Low and wide angle shot works here very good. The beautiful lupins against dark mountains and the clouds are wonderful. Have beautiful days with your family.

Lyn - What joy to have an extended time with your son! The dramatic mountains as the backdrop for these beautiful lupins makes a wonderful scene. You used the trees on the left as a terrific visual balance in the photo. Thad

Those mts. in the background could be a more perfect setting with the Lupine up front. Beautiful comp, LynEve. Enjoy this time with your son, no apologies necessary.
