Wild Russell Lupins (Lupinus polyphyllus) growing wild along the river bank make a beautiful sight - and a heady scent. Yesterday was the first time I have timed a visit to see them at their best, on a 300 mile round trip to Mt Cook National Park. I hope you enjoy them also :)

Another fantastic and colorful photo. All you need is some fall trees and you would have all the seasons in one shot. Beautiful.

Oh my, how profuse they are and what a delight it must be to be right there seeing them up close. I love all those shades of purple. This is framed so nicely with Lupins on both sides and the mts. for backdrop.

Another stunner Lyn and I see these here also and I just love them but they really do pollute the water. but they do make a outstanding capture. Reminds me of a beautiful oil painting
