Lake Ohau, MacKenzie Basin, South Island, New Zealand, at the the lower end of a glaciated valley it is confined by a moraine 16,00018,000 years old. I decided it was worth getting a bit wet to get this shot from a low angle. . . . The Maori word 'Ohau' translates to 'windy place' and it was certainly the case a few days ago when this was taken. Canon 450D, 17-85mm lens. I hope you like it. Thank you for your views and opinions which are always valued and appreciated.
