The lace is very very old, possibly 200 years, the rose is fresh from the garden. The lace was given to me many years ago by my mother-in-law and it had belonged to her grandmother. In another life, before computer and camera took over I designed and made clothes, and I used some of the lace on the shirt these pearls and rose are lying on. Taken with Canon EOS450D, 60mm macro lens. Thank you for viewing. This is my contest entry.

Simple and beautiful and deserves to do well in the competition. The detail in the lace and the lustre of the pearls have both been wonderfully captured.
