A beautiful set of stained glass windows in the Department of Conservation Aoraki Mt Cook visitor centre - designed by Jo Ogier and constructed by Robyn Hall, depicting the flora and fauna of the area. The bird in the left one is our native kea which has green/brown plumage apart from its wonderful scarlet underwings. I photographed them separately and combined them on the black background, using MS Picture It. Thank you for viewing. Comments are welcome and always appreciated. EXIF info below for those interested.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Nice presentation of this finely captured stained glass works, Lyn. The works were captured perfectly, so that all the colors are beautiful and no washed out parts exists.

38mm focal lenght must be your Canon's 'normal' focal length and this is very good choise for such documentary shots. A big thanks for exif info, my friend.

Such beautiful stained glasswork. It makes me think of Dover Publications stained glass coloring books. They have one for everything including wildlife. Robyn Hall is quite talented and thank you for taking such fine sharp images of her work and putting it together for us to enjoy.

My professor of fine art in college was a stained glass artist so I know this is the result of an incredible mount of work. It's also an elegant display you've provided us with the strong black contrasting frame allowing the windows to pop right off the screen.
