"You have to break eggs to make omelettes" but I thought they looked so pretty I snapped them first. The omelettes were very tasty but as my omelette making skills do not produce masterpieces I did not bother with photographing the results.
These newly laid eggs were from my friend's happy hens, that roam free on their property but always return to their nesting boxes to deliver their daily gifts.
The gorgeous blue ones are from Araucana hens, which have lavender grey plumage and originated in South America.
The blue is so beautiful but an egg is an egg, and just like people it is what is inside that matters.
Taken with Canon 450D using the 60mm lens.
