Rose Mallow (Lavatera trimestris)taken in February when it was summertime. Now the plant is chopped right back and it is winter but I look forward to it flowering again next summer.
What a beautiful flower this is. The composition and background are perfect for it. Have to tell you that allowing subject material to originate directly from a corner has always been taught as something to never do in any composition. You've just shown that it can be done both tastefully and effectively with the right subject material.
A marvelous shot, LynEve! I love the colors in this image and the fuzzy white clouds. Excellent detail, as well, and the bee is a nice addition. Well done!
The focus on the center of that main flower is perfect, and this has to be the first time I've seen a shot of the underside of a bee on Caedes. Reminds me of a spacecraft landing in a movie. Cool.
