Terrific perspective and dof on this. While there were probably many options for snapping this scene, I think you picked an excellent one with the dof telling us that there is indeed a whole field of these golden beauties. Those three in front could be world leaders addressing the masses. Let's hope the masses aren't listening.
AVATAR BY PJ............... i've been so bad about commenting on your photos. believe me when i say i look at them all. feel free to NOT comment on mine. Please Visit My Gallery
This is a lovely capture of these beauties. The colour, clarity and unusual angle you taken of this flower makes it all the more interesting. Fav'd and thanks for sharing! Ann
This is a very nice sunflower photo in that it has good balance. Balance between the focus of the background and foreground and the balance of color between the yellow and green. The majority of sunflower photos I see are of the front, showing the seed head and ring of petals, but so much yellow is reflected back to the viewer that it often bleeds into everything else in the photo, tinting everything slightly yellow. We all know what the front of a sunflower looks like because of the myriad photos of them we've seen but here you're allowing us to see more, to see the nature of the support system of those large heads full of seeds and oil. Shooting them in subdued light is also a good idea because they reflect so much color in bright sun. A nice piece, Lyn.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
This is so different in so many ways. I love the way your mind was working on this one. Back of the flowers not the front. Endless fields of bokeh. Like being in the back row of a flower concert :)
People aren't going to remember the things you do. They're going to remember how you made people feel. Be kind, gracious, and appreciative. Dan Winters - Photographer.
