Useless image really - but I like it :)

Not a clue Lyn. I suppose it will look nice when the bulbs are lit at night.

Thanks for giving me a headache Lyn, LOL!!!

Like Raj, I've not a clue.
If you come with your solution, I'm afraid that I will become a flat forehead as well because I will beat against it with the palm of my hand while uttering the cry: "I could have known this."
I'm very curious!
Regards, Cornelius.

I am guessing it is an arm on a Ferris Wheel or some other Carnival ride. The B/W makes it difficult to be sure. Nice fun post. "What is it?" would make a good contest.

Lyn, this could be entered in the contest, I too like the lines, and I think Tick might had guessed what it is.

Yes, it is part of a ferris wheel.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Reading your answer and refering to my above comment: my forehead is flattened now, Lyn. Lol.

Do not underestimate your work as useless, Lyn. This is 'purely' artistic photo.

Ah yes. I would have guessed ferris wheel. Have a memory of these kinds of lights from younger years attending the carnival. Does make for nice lines and subject.

A nice study of lines or inorganic elements. When I was in college, in advanced photography, we actually had that as an assignment and I'm sure you would have gotten a high grade on this one. A ferris wheel, huh? Cool beans.
