Woweeeeee Lyn! Only in my dreams have i imagined such a place and yet i am constantly reminded by shots like this that my dreams exist in New Zealand. Such beautiful and perfect scenery should in my opinion be immortalised forever in great shots like this! Fantastic :)
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
Both beauties, Eve. You might try another version of #4 with a really radical crop. Up from the bottom to about 3 of the road center white markers from the sheep, and down from the top to just above the cloud. It exaggerates the prespective of the road being the end of the world, and the mountain, the next world. And of course the sheep are significantly larger, and you'll need to crop some of both ends as well. Try it on your monitor. It's worth the shock factor.
Doug has this innate ability to just know what looks good. More often that not, he's right, which really pisses me off. I don't have his abilities regarding composition and just don't have the mind to extrapolate your shot into what he has described. So I'll comment on what I see.
I really like the camera placement as it guides the eye into the distance. And what a glorious "into the distance" you have presented for our viewing pleasure. Some clouds would have been nice, but that's a heck of a view. Personally I probably would have chopped off half the sky and taken a little off the right, but those are my habits that I need to break.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
