A few clouds at last! Also a couple of pedestrians - and they have the right of way. We are nearing Aoraki/Mt Cook.
Aoraki means 'Cloud Piercer' so there needed to be a some!
This was taken through the car windscreen(don't worry I was the passenger) I have tried to clarify it a bit in PSP.

Kia Ora friends, as some of you already know my life has become busier than usual just now. I need to take a few days time out to catch up with things. I apologise for the sparceness of my comments both in number and content recently and hope to be back on track on my return. My thanks as always for your generous encouragement and also for the recent birthday greetings :) I have some more photos of my Mt Cook visit which I shall post asap. See you very soon :)

So your country drives on the opposite side of the road as we do in the US, LE. All I know is we drive on the "right" side. :)

I'm sure this sounds weird, LE, but the clouds seem like a distraction to me. This is one cool, vista. Completely breathtaking and nearly impossible for me to critique using words that don't include wow and awesome. A work of art, and free lamb chops for dinner.

I can appreciate this view. I saw it many times through my windshield in my trucking days-a wide open hiway. The clouds lack detail. I would have put some in from another image. Love those moutains. KEEP-PAH
