Late afternoon, the sun is low and all is peaceful in the Waitaki Valley, New Zealand. Taken with Canon 450D. Thanks for viewing, comments always welcome and valued.
This one's a beauty, Lyn. With that title I wasn't sure what I might find. I'm sure you'll recall this song, which I always listen to if I'm getting ready to chow down for a huge meal since the song brings on waves of nausea and keeps me fit and trim.
The hillsides look very dry and could easily have been shot in San Luis Obispo County, but those beautiful trees are something I've never seen before. If the sky had been orange, you would have posted the perfect monochromatic shot.
I downloaded the shot at viewed it at 400% to see how you handled the clear blue sky which is my constant nemesis. I noticed only a few remnants of noise and a thin light border where the sky meets the hills. Exactly the problem that I have. Other than that, your shot is wonderful.
You were fortunate to have found such still waters because the reflection is killer good. I even like the tree in the left foreground which adds some depth to the shot. A solid 7.8 out of 10.
P.S. I looked up Canon 450D on the Canon site and came up with nothing. What is Canon 450D? A second question: On the closest hill center right, are those flowers?
Lu 17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. ........ My Gallery
Great color palette and lighting. Very well composed with different colored trees and the peak. The blue of the sky and reflections are in harmony with other colors perfectly.
