I like the deep purple flower with the dark background LE. It makes it both beautiful and moody. I liked the song too.
Wonderful F² post.

The Latin name for this, Lyn, is flowerus purpleum. I got that information off of rogerpedia, the most trusted name in online research. For a flower shot it's very nice. Good detail work, but your camera is suffering from Rogeritis. The DoF is a little short; so the back petals are not as crisply focused as the ones in front. The reason I know that is because nearly all of my flower shots exhibit the same symptoms.

Could it be a cineraria, Lyn? I love the spotlighting on the purple beauty.

Suppose that the petals of a cineraria are somewhat wider, Lyn. Though at first sight that it was one of the many species of the osteospermum. Couldn't confirm or deny this yet.
It's anyhow a prefect F² image.

Regards, Cornelius.

Lyn - It does appear to be a variety of osteospermum. While the name is unclear, there is no doubt as to the beauty of this capture. Thad
