Hi Lynn.Hold on to your seat..................I know the name........this is called a.......Flower:):) Just trying to be helpful:):) Another pretty one for sure:)
The Latin name for this, Lyn, is flowerus purpleum. I got that information off of rogerpedia, the most trusted name in online research. For a flower shot it's very nice. Good detail work, but your camera is suffering from Rogeritis. The DoF is a little short; so the back petals are not as crisply focused as the ones in front. The reason I know that is because nearly all of my flower shots exhibit the same symptoms.
Suppose that the petals of a cineraria are somewhat wider, Lyn. Though at first sight that it was one of the many species of the osteospermum. Couldn't confirm or deny this yet. It's anyhow a prefect F² image.
Very nice indeed and wishing the All Blacks all the very very very very very best in the world cup final. I hope they grind the other team beneath their feet xxxx
