The first roses of summer are showing their beauty in my garden despite having been neglected. They don't seem to mind. Taken today with Panasonic DMC FZ28. Comments always welcome :)

It's interesting to see a rose from an angle other than head-on--it gives the flower an entirely different character. Very nice. It is, however, bizarre for me in understanding that this is a recent summer photo, while I look outside my window at 4 inches of snow and 13 degrees F.
