This is the same centre sunflower in my upload yesterday. Not a crop, I just got closer for this shot :)
I saw some sunflowers for sale in the supermarket the other day - perfect blooms with straight stems - they looked unreal. I much prefer these plantings, the blooms are more bedraggled but they look a lot happier amongst their thousands of friends, and will end up turned into oil or their seeds atop someones bread. This one was was at least 10" in diameter. Canon 450D.

It's a beauty, Eve. I'n not much of a fan of frames, but generally yours are exceptional. This fits the bill just fine for me. It encompasses the art and directs ones attention without creating any uncomplimentary distraction.
