I noticed this old abandoned farmhouse whilst out driving today. The birds appear to have taken up residence :)

If we had a contest with the subject "Abandoned" this may win the prize Lyn. Nice sharp capture of the old farmhouse with all the worn out colours.

I was gonna say it would make a nice place for a tramp to doss but like you said Lyn the Pigeons have already taken up residence. The old farmhouse looks quite colourful with it's shades of decay, and would also convert well to b/w.

That's a tall dovecote, Lyn, lol.

Thanks for this both funny and fine image.

Like the striking lighting in this Lyn - seems rather dry in your area - very good image.

I think it's the door and the empty window that tells a story. Great find.

Has a nice Western exposure it would seem and could do with a little work, but not bad. Over here we have abandoned houses that due to the Wall St./banking crisis, no one knows who they belong to. So much for contracts. Good shot, Lyn

I notice that there is a bird all on its own on the left of the roof. I was wondering if he had said something out of turn to the rest!!! ha ha This is lovely, and I particularly like the way the tinge of the sun reddens the wood on this old building even more. Well done and well spotted!
