This is St Andrew's Anglican Church at Maheno in North Otago, New Zealand. It is a Memorial Church built for the community in 1938 with funds donated by the Nichols family and where the West window is a memorial to a brother and a cousin of Colonel Nichols, who were killed in the First World War.
The russet stones (sandstone) were quaried from the Nichols Estate and local limestone is used for the window surrounds. It has beautiful oregon timberwork, oak joinery and limestone carvings, and the roof tiles are hand-made. An unsusual feature is its organ - it lives in a loft in the bell tower.
Incorporated into its walls are stones from a number of English Cathedrals, as a link to the 'old country'
It is a beautiful little gem and is in regular use with services every Sunday.
Thank you for viewing - comments very welcome and always appreciated.

I would love to attend a service there, LE. Great shot and information. So the timbers are from Oregon?

Wonderful shot of the church and surroundings Lyn. The colours and clarity are superb. The textures are so clear on the roof and the tower. Very nice image.
