Plus a few Oyster Catchers at Pounawea, Southland coast, New Zealand.
Pounawea is one of the sites where the first New Zealanders, the MOA Hunters settled between A.D. 500 and 1000. By AD 1400 the moas were extinct and the economy relied on fishing.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The peach/copper monotones in this are gorgeous Lyn - and the starkness with the lone tree really works well.

This type of shot really gets my auto wind cranking. I've been looking for a shot like this but always the wrong day, the wrong sun, the wrong water, don't get me started...
