This is the view looking in the opposite direction from my #6 post, towards Mt Cook (3,754 metres) which is New Zealand's highest mountain. The summit is 12 km from this spot. This area has an enormous 276" of rain annually although there was little evidence on this day and the grasses were tinder dry in the 30degrees C + temperatures.

What a beautiful series Lyn.
I like the warm tones of the grasses in the foreground and of course that beautiful sky.

Wow. Looks like the clouds are performing some form of ballet for the mountain. Lovely, Eve.

Lyn - A gorgeous scene! The depth to the capture is wonderful. As beautiful as the clouds are, I suggest cropping the upper third of the sky, keeping the focus on the distant snow-capped mountain peak. Thad
