One of the original farm workers quarters at Totara Estate
The candles are there on a plate - ready for some light when the day's work is done. Things on the table for a little reading, a game of cards or a bit of a sing-along with the concertina.
A mock up of course, but I am still intrigued by just the one boot. Is the owner somewhere else doing a bit of DIY cobbling, or has he collapsed into bed with the other one still on after imbibing whatever was in the bottles.

Lyn, you captured this so well, I imagine it is was difficult lighting situation, but you did not let that bother you. Very nice, and interesting. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I too admire your work with the limited lighting available - nice capture.

What a great shot of the old, old days Lyn! I hate to say this, but maybe he only has one foot (just kidding)! I love the set up here and the dim lighting really sets the scene well.

I thought he might be on the run if the binoculars aren't in that case. Did you have an off camera flash for this, or was there another independent light?
The shadows are not in line with the camera angle. It's not a fault. I'm just curious.

Great camera work, Lyn. Like Sandi mentioned the lighting had a to be a challenge that you handled very well. Not sure on the boot does make one wonder .

I think I skip the dinner invitation and go straight off to bed. An interesting scene of how life once was for the workers of the estate. Your link is broken btw.
