Bright and beautiful and toxic.
The conditions must be just right for these as there has been a proliferation, some the size of dinner plates, beneath the pines especially. These two babies were part of a larger goup in our local public gardens. I got down to ground level and snapped them quickly as I am sure they would be demolished promptly once spotted by the gardeners.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Not difficult to spot them with that bright orange colour. Nice capture Lyn.

Excellent catch Lyn - I never see this type in our wooded areas maybe the climate conditions are never right.

I too have never seen these around here, but my other half said he has seen them in Alaska. The detail is excellent on this good find. Tigs♥ =^..^=
