They are old farrowing machines..dragged behind a tractor they scoop out potatoes and turnips from the soil!...(I think!)

Great image Lyn that deserves to do well in the competition. The slight sepia feel is good for this type of image. Surely the machines are for ploughing-up mangle-wurzels!
