A deeper blue sea and a beach with a different coloured sand. The gereen covered bit of land adds to the beauty of the scene. Another good one Lyn.

Back in 2001 I took my wife and youngest son on a trip through part of North America's Great Lakes (but that pre-dated my digital cameras - dang!). During the trip I collected samples of beach sand from Lakes Superior, Michigan and Huron, bringing home part of the land, as it were. Superior is very long, about 370 miles as the crow flies. The beach sand on the east end is almost white, whereas the sand on the west is red from ancient volcanic activity. I'm guessing similar geologic activity is responsible for the differing colors in your two beautiful beach scenes. The thing that strikes me about them is how wide open they are and that there's no people on the beach. -Nik

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.

You got the horizon perfect, LE.

We've seen the silver sands, now the golden sands when do we see the bronze sands? Again Lyn, a beautiful beach scene (although it's no New Brighton beach is it?).
