Today we had to visit Dunedin and took a small detour to Port Chalmers, the cities main port. These two cruise ships, 'The Sun Princess' and 'Voyager of The Seas' were just about to leave.
It was from Port Chalmers in 1882 that the first shipment of frozen meat from New Zealand left for London on the ship 'Dunedin'.
Taken with Canon 450D. Comments very welcome.

Think I have still seawater in my veins, Lyn, instead of blood, lol, so it was an easy choice to S+F this wonderful image. Thanks a lot for sharing.

A multitude of colors in this one Lyn. Almost makes me wish I could join the passengers on one of those cruise ships. I am ready! Nicely done!

Good clarity and colors in this view from up above the harbour Lyn. I have never been south of Timaru so I don't know Dunedin and Port Chalmers. Looks like a nice sheltered harbour.

Nice bit of information, LE.
The shot with the cruise ships and containers is excellent. It must be a huge port.

Like any secret agent I am multiprofessional of course. In my veins there is even more seawater than in C's veins or Raj's LOL
Thanks for this beauty.

The scope of this scene must be enormous as I know how large those cruise ships are - a bustling scene and very colorful too with all the containers.
