Early evening,sun going down, and she thinks if she sits on the fence, very still and very quiet the birds may mistake her ears for leaves and come close enough to be caught. They didn't, although her gaze was highly focused on a couple. Much easier to come inside and get dinner on plate !

I peeked trough the current contest entries, but didn't see this one. In my humble opinion it would be an excellent entry, because the focus criterion can be interpreted in both a literal and a figurative way.

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.
