I have posted several photos of the fascinating MOERAKI BOULDERS (Click for info about them).

Almost seven years ago I posted THIS IMAGE where you can see two boulders emerging.
At last they are born, after 4 or 5 million years in the making. If you view this full screen you will see them in the top right quarter of the picture.
Thanks for viewing and for any comments :)

How time is flying past us, when we can ill afford to!

Imagine what we could do 7 years ago, that we cannot now!

Could it be the '7 Year Itch'!!

Nice that you went back to take this one

Fascinating stones, LE.
The thought of the birthing process is mind boggling.
This is definitely a "Road Less Traveled."

Lyn, I've checked out the links. Very interesting. It's hardly to believe that the boulders are formed about 60 million years ago on the seabed, when calcium salts gradually accumulated around a hard core.

Both pictures (this one and the one of June 2007) are a perfect visualization of this miracle. Thanks for sharing!

Regards, Cornelius.

A clear image, & fascinating subject, 4-5 million years is a long time to wait. I wonder what our remains will resemble after that time.
