Taken yesterday. This river looks quite calm. Hard to believe that just a few days ago it broke its banks. There was an amazing rescue of a woman from the top of her car after a two hour ordeal, after it was swept away. Read about it HERE You will be very surprised how she was saved !!

What a contrast between your image and the rescue story in the paper. And, what great use of contrast in your image.

Thanks for the link to the article 'Daring river rescue in wild Easter storm' in the New Zealand Herald, Lyn. Unbelievable, isn't it? Has nothing to do with the quiet river as depicted by you.

Very good B&W image!

Regards, Cornelius.

If the fence hadn't stopped her she would have been probably not so lucky because the car would have got flooded. Nice capture of the bridge in B/W Lyn.

Great capture of this bridge in B&W, Lyn. That woman will remember that escape for awhile. Stuff like that makes think about being ready when its time.
