The Waitaki River - it has only another 3km of its 110km journey left to reach the sea.Taken today late afternoon from the Canterbury side. You may just see the long bridge to the left which takes you into Otago. It looks warm with the sunshine but it was 10C degrees colder than yesterday.
Waitaki means 'Weeping Waters"
