These photos were taken on the Wirral Peninsula in Cheshire, England
I posted a version of the top left one yesterday and have done a bit of research about it. It is part of Willaston Old Hall, a three storey building originally built in the 17th Century, although the 1558 date stone was likely added during a later restoration, as the original Willaston Hall was built then, by the Bennett family.
Beneath that is St Nicholas's Church in the village of Burton. There was a Norman church here dating from the 12th century, stones from which have been dug up in the churchyard and are preserved in the porch and beneath the tower. The Massey chapel with its surviving east window was erected in 1380 and the remainder of the present church was built in 1721.
The larger image is Ashtree Farmhouse, one of 15 listed buildings in the area. It was built in the 17h century.
Thank you for looking. Comments always welcome :)
Another fine upload, with an informative narrative, well done Lyn.
