They were reaching up towards the sun. I stood on a garden bench to capture their pretty faces from above.For Friday :)

The magnolia tree was named after a French botanist, Pierre Magnol,in the 1600s. Prior to that they were cultivated in 7th century China as "Jade Orchids" and recorded by the Aztecs as "Eloxochitl."
