This is not what you would expect to find along a country road :) What you can see is a chapel which is part of a larger complex set on 25 acres of land. It has a very interesting past including a couple of tragedies. You can read a short history HERE if you are interested. At the top of the history page there is a click for Photo Gallery - do have a look. I think you will be quite amazed at the interior of this chapel, it is extremely beautiful.

I like this capture, it is perfect for a Sunday post, and the link was very interesting. We have a place something like that around here, but of course it is different. tigs =^..^=

It is cool that the name has been kept through all the the changes LE.
Those were some cool cars at the wedding. The inside is beautiful.
Thanks for the tour.

Lyn, thanks for this very nice image and a very interesting narrative. I've checked out the link (thanks for that as well) and have viewed the photo gallery. Wonderful stained glass windows in this chapel.
Like to agree with you that it's extremely beautiful.

What an interesting history this place has - I graduated from Dominican University so am very familiar with that order of priests and nuns. The photo tour was wonderful Lyn - a lovely and unique post.

So lovely...I guess a wedding there would cost something eh!....

A little tease with the trees 'hiding' the chapel!
