No your eyes do not decive you - both my uploads today are the same original photo. They have been edited two different ways in different applications by two people with skill levels wide apart.
I would be interested to have your opinions on the differing moods portrayed and which you prefer (its not a competition, just an experiment to see which image is most pleasing to the eye)
I look forward to your comments. I have permission to post both. One will be deleted, either the one least favoured in comments or the one I like least :) I Have not decided yet how to choose but I already know which one I prefer.
Which do you prefer (and why)?
The original photo was taken on the same day as my 'Two Hours On Monday" group of images with Panasonic TZ60.
Thanks for your interest and comments in advance.

I like both also, but this one seems more dramatic Lyn. The other one showcases the driftwood more; however, this one captures the essence of the total scene...the rock formations, the driftwood, the ocean and the cloudy sky.

Upon viewing both images I would say this is the better of the two. First it captures more of the mood of that sky, second the highlights are better protected in this image, and thirdly the image just seems a tad more sharper focused (note the difference in the driftwood) even though it is the same image . It has a good edit job. Darker is better.

Life's moments are sweet. I just want to capture all that I can of them.

This one is less detailed, with more blending and a "big picture" feel. For instance, the sand and rocks don't appear as clearly so they blend in more with the entire photo. However, I do like the look of the grains of sand and rock in the other.

This one is amazing and very dramatic, however I really like the other one because it shows more detail and like the sky is a littler brighter & overall the colours seem more real.

Lyn - For both images, the scene is beautiful. I'd be hard pressed to pick one over the other; your post-photo work was wonderful.
