The world's 14th tallest residential tower on the South Bank of the Yarra River, Melbourne, Australia. When completed in 2006 it was the tallest but has been surpassed. It is named after the Eureka Stockade, a rebellion during the Victorian gold rush in 1854.
Height of Building 984.3 ft | 300m
3,680 stairs - 92 storeys - 52,000 sq. metres of windows.
This is one of only 7 buildings in the world over 90 storeys.
The golden bees on the side of the building is an art installation by Richard Stringer called Queen Bee.
There is a glass floored viewing platform at the top - for anyone not liking heights it gives the collywobbles :)

Sifting through my old photos bin I came across this one :)

The perspective with that tall structure reaching towards the wonderful blue sky, is perfect. I like the bees adds something really different. Very nice post, Lyn. tigs=^..^=

Amazing that anyone would want to reside in a stockade, but I guess the view would be tremendous from any of the high floors. I read about the "Eureka Climb" event - now that would be a good deal of exercise. Internet states that the building has 556 apartments. I would love to have dinner on the top floor and visit the observation deck, but I don't think I would want to be up there during a storm. Great shot Lyn, and the bees are a nice touch.

A fine perspective looking up on this tall building, LE. I guess this keeps the window washers busy all year. I think I'll pass on the glass platform viewing stand, though it would be interesting for a photo shoot.

I think I would get the collywobbles on that platform Lyn - but I like the POV of your shot.

A unique looking building. I like the gold bees. Good use of the angle of view to display the beauty of this structure. Well done.
