Taken from inside St Peter's Basilica on the same day I took THIS one of the exterior, way back in 2006. Both were captured on my old Kodak V550, and this one has sat quietly in my Bin of Failures since then. The quality of this as you can see is not good but I think it is improved somewhat with a B/W conversion. I quite like the grainy aged look. I added a little texture to try and increase the aged look but not sure it was a good idea.

Good one in B/W Lyn. My first digital camera was a"Rollei" (German) which was (is) a very good camera.

You've done a great job in aging this image, Lyn. I feel as though I am looking at a depiction from the 1500s.

The grainy look is not a disadvantage but an advantage Lyn, because it creates this B&W image more authenticity. Idem for adding a little texture in it.

Very fine image for the B&W challenge. Well done!

I agree with Mr. C. Lyn - the graininess only adds to it - really well done IMHO.

Great looking vintage look to this shot, Lyn. Very nicely done. I was there in 1995, but only had a video cam with me.

Ben of Failures? I gotta remember that one. The Pope just visited this country and caused quite a stir. I like the photo. It has an ancient look about it.
