On a roadside stop returning from a day visit to Mt Cook on Saturday I spotted these wild rose hips and thought they contrasted nicely against the blue lake and sky.
Taken with Panasonic TZ60. Thank you for looking :)

Wild Rose Hips? The only wild rose hips I ever seen was some drunk lady in a bar! Ha. I'd like a closer up those red jobbies. Nice.

And there was me thinking of the Cook Islands. On one of my trips to NZ I was told people gather the rose hips to make jam. Does that still happen?

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
