Liverpool's iconic Royal Liver Building. Built in 1911 for the Royal Liver Assurance Group. It was recently sold for the first time for 48m pounds . It is constructed of reinforced concrete and topped by the two famous Liver birds - each copper bird is 18 feet tall. They are chained to the domes because legend has it that it they fly away the city will die. The birds are named Bella and Bertie, looking to the sea and inland, respectively.
This building looks very austere from the outside - inside it is amazingly different. Click Here for a little look inside.

This is an older photo onf mine that I have given a bit of a painted look to in a fit of nostalgia :)
Thank you for any comments.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Thought it was a bargain, because I didn't notice the 'm' in your narrative, Lyn, ☺ .
Just kidding of course. Your selective coloring hasn't only resulted in a more nostalgic character, but the buildings are even more impressive now than they were already. Good work, my friend.
