This is for Manic Monday :)Apologies for the poor quality. I made a special detour to capture this 'artwork' and they all turned out poorly. Anyway - these are teeth. There are 6 of them. Wisdom teeth.
" Sculptor Regan Gentry's 'Harbour mouth molars' (2010) line the shore of Dunedin's Kitchener Street park. Inspired by the University of Otago's dental school and Otago Peninsula's volcanic origins, the sculptures combine ideas of painfully emerging teeth and new landforms thrust up by volcanoes."
They are different, they are controversial and you either like or loathe them !
There is a desciption by the sculptor (and a better photo) HERE
due to the poor quality I shall remove this fairly soon :) )

Those round rocks and now molars! Nature's wonders. Two big molars for a big mouth. Good one Lyn.

I rather like them - something different - they are so large we could tell the kids they are dinosaur teeth - anything with dinosaurs is a big hit around here.

I have a good dentist so I don't worry about seeing him. It was funny last time I was there, I had a wisdom tooth pulled. He was yanking at it for a couple moment, and suddenly, it popped right out! The dentist was startled, and said he thought he would have to spend another few minutes on it, and totally wasn't expecting it to pop out the way it did.

This is odd, to say the least. I do like the birds resting there, they are totally oblivious to the sculpture's image. I like Kathy's comment relating to dinosaur teeth, our grandsons would really like that!

Need a big tooth brush for these, especially when I think what the seagulls are doing to them!

It's great that we don't have to pay the bill of the dentist, Lyn.
Tooth paste will cost a fortune too.

I agree with you that the quality of this image isn't that optimal (esp. at full screen size), but it meets perfectly the criteria for a Manic Monday image. Thanks for the grin anyhow, my friend.
