Some of the Moeraki Boulders that have split open.
The ones in my previous upload were visited yesterday by members of the Russian Ballet !
Each boulder had a dancer pirouetting on it. I wish I had been there:)

Don't know how you've done it, Lyn, but you must have used a big hammer and chisel, ☺ ☺ ☺ . Seriously now: very impressive and interesting. A pity that you've missed the 'performance' of the Russian Ballet in this area. The distance is too far for me, else I've had asked you to be the 'stand in' while I took some pictures there. Would be very 'artistic action shots', ☺ !

I find the layer of green algae growth on the rocks interesting, and reminiscent of the lines of different soils and geology in the western badlands of my home state. It's easy to tell where the tide rises to here in New Zealand.
