This sign post in my town is in a sad state of disrepair - choosing the top destinations could lead one anywhere ! A reminder though of just how far away we are from much of the rest of the world !

A corner post in my back yard, by the entrance gate, is a taller-than-normal 6x8 post, and it's topped by about 10signs like this. Each sign gives the name and distance to where we have family or places we enjoy visiting. it makes for a nice conversation starter.

Lyn, see that heading to the North Pole or to Honolulu don't make a big difference. I prefer the latter destination however, ☺ .

Give me some extreme cold weather clothing, provisions and footwear and I'll head for the North Pole. I'll go during the summer and a plane flight is essential as it's 5,200 kilometres away!
